Catholic Education Leadership Doctoral Program

This special doctoral strand is available for students who focus on Catholic education leadership. Culminating a three-tier program in Catholic leadership, the doctoral program builds upon the content of the Advanced Graduate Certificate program and the Catholic School Leadership program.  Students take 23 credit hours beyond the certificate program requirements. This program is offered during intensive summer sessions over three years, with intervening course work in the field. The program courses include Catholic educational research, educational administration research, and research methodologies. Professional lyceums and internships allow students access to national Catholic organizations to facilitate networking and mentoring.  Graduates will be prepared to serve in Catholic diocesan leadership, national leadership, and higher education.

This is not a state-accredited licensure program. Further coursework may be required to meet licensure requirements in your state.

Dr. Mimi Schuttloffel, Director of the Catholic Leadership Program, will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the program.  Her email address is: Schuttloffel@cua.edu.  For a Graduate Application, please contact Enrollment Services at (202) 319-5305 or visit https://webapp.cua.edu/apply/Online/.
